Newsweek Davos Event to Explore Agriculture and Global Climate Goals

New York – Taking a major step to increase its face-to-face interaction with global leaders and opinion makers, Newsweek is hosting a special gathering in Davos 2025 to explore the intersection of agriculture and climate change, and the importance of sustainable practices in achieving global climate objectives.

The event, titled “Aligning Agriculture with Global Climate Goals,” features Steve Magami, CEO, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of the pioneering agribusiness Agrovision, who is being interviewed by Nigel Holloway, the Editorial Director of Vantage Research and Newsweek Vantage, the thought leadership arm of Newsweek.  It is being streamed, live at https://events.newsweek.com/davos2025

“We’re delighted to organize this gathering and such a distinguished panel of experts at Davos” Dev Pragad said, Newsweek Owner and CEO “This event is a major step for us, in our effort to ramp up our interaction with thought leaders on a global basis. As a worldwide news organization, it only makes sense to interact more closely with leading news-shapers and opinion-makers on important topics of the day.”

Previous events have included a discussion about how energy and technology companies are striving to balance climate innovations driven by AI-assisted breakthroughs with the power demand needed to generate them, and an in-depth examination of three critical sectors – energy, transportation and industry – and how they must come together to accelerate progress toward net zero emissions.

The Davos session is exploring such topics as how regenerative agriculture can be scaled to restore ecosystems, as well as how sustainable food systems are transforming and how ongoing agricultural transformation is addressing modern challenges like sustainability.
